The Toyota Tarago vans were sensationally good for 2 couples, bags and clubs. The golf courses were excellent and everything was booked so we had adequate time to travel, yet have enough daylight to finish the rounds. The hospitality at places like Dunedin, Kelvin Heights, Millbrook and Clearwater was sensational. We have never before or since had a golf tour that was so successful and memorable."

DAY 1 ARRIVE CHRISTCHURCH
After arriving at Christchurch International Airport you pick up your reserved car from Thrifty Car rental. After rental formalities are completed you may be able to catch some city highlights before settling in at the comfortable Kingsgate Hotel Autolodge Christchurch.
DAY 2 CHRISTCHURCH/ TERRACE DOWNS / TWIZEL
Your southern journey takes you across the fertile Cantebury Plains to the excellent new Terrace Downs Golf Resort. This inspiring new Resort is nestled above the beautiful Rakaia river amongst spectacular scenery. The clubhouse which is quite magnificent is the perfect venue to discuss todays golf. After golf we will stop at the postcard setting of the Church of the Good Shepherd and take in the aqua coloured Lake Tekapo and the snow capped mountains surrounding it. We will also stop at the lookout to Mt Cook to view New Zealand's highest mountain. Tonights Hotel is the comfortable MacKenzie Country Inn at Twizel
DAY 3 TWIZEL/ QUEENSTOWN
Your drive South takes you through the orchard district of Cromwell before you wind through the Kawarua Gorge towards fantastic Queenstown one of the prettiest towns in the world. You will be staying here for 3 nights at the Coronet Alpine Hotel.
DAY 4 QUEENSTOWN
Today you play New Zealand's most stylish Resort course Millbrook, a golf facility of quality and beauty. Surrounded by an amphitheatre of mountains this great layout has an English country feel about it. With four different tee difficulties to choose from, all golfers can enjoy this stunning course as well as its beautiful surroundings. The Spike Bar overlooks the water carry to the 18th green and provides some humourous moments. This afternoon there will be time to enjoy some of the attractions that have made Queenstown so famous.
DAY 5 QUEENSTOWN
Bring your camera as well as your clubs today for your visit to the scenically spectacular Kelvin Heights golf course. From every hole there is a majestic backdrop of snow capped mountains and crystal clear lake. The fifth hole "Shoreline" is one of the most photographed holes in golf. This is a must play golfing attraction. After your round here we will have time to share some hospitality with the local members at the clubhouse.
DAY 6 QUEENSTOWN/ DUNEDIN
You head south east this morning to the Scottish influenced coastal town of Dunedin. An afternoon game of golf on the excellent Balmacewen layout will be followed by a visit to the clubhouse. This is the oldest golf club in the Southern hemisphere and has an intriguing history. Accommodation is at the new 526 on George Boutique Hotel.
DAY 7 DUNEDIN/ CHRISTCHURCH
This morning you follow the coastline north towards Christchurch. This afternoon there will be time to explore the " Garden "city. Hagley Park, the Avon river and the Cathedral are well worth a visit as well as some great shopping downtown. Tonights accommodation is at the Kingsgate Hotel Autolodge Christchurch. For the keen golfers there is an optional round of golf this afternoon or tomorrow morning at the excellent new Clearwater Resort.
DAY 8 DEPART CHRISTCHURCH
Today alas you have to return home. Drop off your vehicle to Thrifty Car hire full of petrol in preparation for your flight home. Memories of spectacular scenery, hospitable people and magnificent golf courses remain forever.
